Weekend=nice.

Worked Mason/Abbot Friday, Saturday, and Sunday night. Each night was calm and uneventful, which was welcoming considering I usually work SnyPhi and Shaw on the weekends (which are a zoo). Putzed around Saturday afternoon for the first time in Awhile. Usually I'm working my Ass off during the week and weekends (when I'm up here), so taking a day off from shit was welcoming. Saw "The Triplets of Belleville" Saturday night with Ms. Pile, Ms. Food, Andu's friend Liz, and another gal. V. good. Badger Badger Rendevous's are always a good time.

Sunday, went house "browsing" with said Ms. Pile, Ms. Food (Laurrrrra and Anne, for those of you who don't know), and Andu. Found a couple of damn cute houses, and hopefully after Andu talks to his parents this weekend we'll know if he can live with us. Went to the library with Charlos for three hours, came back, nearly finished my TE paper (HOORAY!) and went on a lovely walk with Mnick.

Hadn't seen MNick in about a year, so it nice to just got on a walk in the neighborhood with him. Found a kitty that approached us for pats and cuddles, so we played with her for awhile, then found a nice patch of grass and laid down for awhile gazing at the stars. Then went to the Riv and got schooled in pool by Nick, then proceeded to whomp the Ms. Pacman's machine's ass.

Then workity workity with Charlos, where "Spaceballs" was viewed and embraced. Yeah. I'd say that's a decent weekend. Only downside was that someone broke my shotglass Jon got me in the UK and no one cleaned it up or took responsibility for it. Whatever. Just a shotglass, yeah, but it meant a bit to me cuz it was a gift and from the UK. I'll have to send someone or myself to England to replace it hahhaa.

Ew for random people.

Yay for hanging out with parents (without ANY arguments with Dad, I might add) for four hours watching Simpsons Dvd and History Channel show on The Saint Valentine's Day Massacre. yahoo for gangsters. Learned last night that when my Great great Aunt Claire was pregnant with my Great Uncle Lester back in the 20's, one of the mafia gangs made her family store an assload of liquor in their barn (for those of you kids Downriver, that's the huge barn in Southgate at Northline and I75 with the advertisements on the roof). The cops came one day and demanded to be let in the barn to investigate and try to bust them for having booze. Claire obliged because the booze was in the horses' stalls... Then, the cops wanted her to go in and open up the horses's stalls. She convinced them that she couldn't go in by saying, "Are you kidding me? I'm PREGNANT, and those horses go nuts!." So being knocked up saved her and her husband from getting busted. hahaha my family was bossed around by the Mafia.

I (and Beth) are probably gonna be the only ones amused by that, but whateva.

Going to see Mike this afternoon, then trek back to EL in time to see Laaaaaauurrra and Roger's debuts in YOUR MOM Improv. woooo. Then suping MasonAbbot. There better not be any shenanigans, or I will pistol whip the residents and guests. Just kidding. I love my job.

Yahoo for work. Got my first call to come into work to get a loaner key at 4am last night. *Glad I told Krystal to call me if there were any problems, as other supe on duty has no car.* It is absolutely amazing how quickly I turn from groggy mcgroggerton to perky cheerful leah at the drop of a hat for work.

Going home today. Buying don Quijote (aka Shithead) a beard. Picking up the greatest cousin in the world. And seeing Mike! And hopefully seeing Brother. Got most of science homework crap done. And..dun dun dun....parents are once again out of town! Huzzah!

To top off these sexcellent things...it's PAYDAY! HUZZAH x 9 !

Today I popped Les's ZOO CHERRY. He had never ever EVER been to a zoo before. I myself hadn't been to a zoo in seven years (ever since that fated day with Disney Friend!), and had to go to Potter Park Zoo for a class. So what better opportunity to take Lesmana to a zoo than on the first day of autumn, in the middle of the afternoon, with hardly anyone else in the zoo? The llamas, fisher cats, red panda, and ostrich were my favorites. The Fisher Cats attacked each other hardcore right before mine and Les' eyes! We watched them, entranced for twenty minutes before getting scared and running away.

Begin my first day in the Elementary School Classroom tomorrow morning. V. Excited. MNick's rooomate, Stacey, is my assigned partner in our field work, so that's pretty damn neat. Only downside to working in the 4th grade classroom Thursdays 9-1130am is that I have to get up around 745 and make self look presentable (we're supposed to dress professionally...and nicer than the teacher). HUM. But but but. Would rather get up early than not go at all. YAY!

Going home AGAIN this weekend (I know, Loves, don't be mad). Picking up Beth from EMU, buying Carl a beard, and Hopefully hopefully seeing Mike. Parents are outta town again, so Friday night will be a nice evening either spent at home or out gettin rowdy. Saturday evening going to see "TOMMY" with Laaaaauurrrra in Royal Oak. Huzzah! And hopefully thrifting Sunday before coming back. And in between, homeworking and studying to the extreme. That's all I fucking do anymore is stupid SME301/TE301 Homework. BAH. But will be well worth it in the long run. Hard work + Leah=College Degree = TEACHING! :)

Don't you hate it when you feel a bump on your face that hurts and is gonna turn into a zit? those things blow the ass! But until the fucker shows up, I'm playing with bumpy.

Just ate dinner with one of the girls from next door, her boyfriend, and her best friend. We then ate s'mores. Hooray for reaching out and meeting new kids!

And Hooray for going home tomorrow! Going to Mike's Thursday, out with cousins Friday night (methinks!), and shopping with Favorite Cousin Beth Saturday for materials for my Halloween costume. Once class is done tomorrow, a crapload of stress will be lifted off my shoulders for a few days. I thought I was taking it easy with 13 credits this semester, but it feels like I'm taking 18. Papers and shitloads of readings every night. I'm already falling behind in a class. UH OH!

Thats it for now. Brother got tongue pierced. I want my body to not reject piercings so I can hole myself too. WOOOOOO

Spa Party success. Managed to cram 15 people in the living room for it, and it went well! And lots of yummy snacks (including two first time creations that went over well hooray!) and hot cider. I felt like a little Betty Crocker. Or a middle aged lady. YESSSSS. Thanks to E and Staceykins for letting me hostess it at our place. Got a free "Tingler" for hostessing...if you don't know what it is, I'll gladly demonstrate ;)

Eyes want to look like they're stoned, and they're in pain this morning. Luckily, I got my new glasses prescription filled yesterday so now I can see out of my glasses.

Loooooonnnnng paper to write today and readings to accomplish. Boooo. Erica and her friends are celebrating her friend Amy's 21st bday at our house this evening. Hopefully I'll have enough of my crap done or know where I'm going with my paper so I can flee to library if necessary.

Going home tomorrow evening for the weekend. Ghengis Glenn and Mom are jetting town Friday. Huzzah!

As most of you gals know, I'm hosting a spa party Tuesday evening at 7:30pm at my house (324 Division). I invite you to escape your homework and other stressful crap for a couple hours for an evening of relaxation. If I haven't told you about it, this is your invite. Just make sure to RSVP to me, PLEASE!

I've been to one of these, and they are super. It's an awesome way to relax. You'll be pampered head to toe with heated neck wraps, a head, hand, and back massage, therapeutic foot soaks and scrubs, a Dead Sea Salt treatment for the hands, mini facials, a rejuvenating eye treatment and more :)

*Come in comfortable clothing-workout clothes, jogging suits, even PJs if you want! Just make sure your pant legs can be rolled up cuz you'll be receiving a foot soak and stuff for your legs (SHAVING YOUR LEGS TUESDAY WOULD BE A GREAT IDEA).
*Make up is NOT a requirement. In fact, we'll actually be taking it off with our mini-facial. Avoid putting crap in your hair cuz you'll be receiving a scalp massage, aiight?

Sniffles. A bit sleepy. Will wait til 3:15am to open second can of Mountain Dew. Will continue to play Snood and rudely attempt to kill Carl's high scores. Will most likely be unsuccessful.

Kinda disappointed that I couldn't attend any of the parties going on tonight. Scratch that. Stopped at the Pi Kapps for a few before clocking in to say hello to a few loves. Disappointed that I couldn't be there at Gunson 2 for their first party of the year...but am looking forward to seeing Swan's 'ruit table in their basement!

Laauuuurrrra was super and visited me for over an hour. B-rad and Cam stopped by, too. And Les helped me set up Car's computer YAY!

exhausted. spent the day moving into MY HOUSE. That's right. MY house. SO flippin geeked. MUCHO thanks to Arock and Mike for helping move in. Injurious to them it was, having scraped up hands and sore wrists. And other sorenesses I don't doubt.

The house is adorable. Girly already. Friends, you MUSt come see it. I'm ecstatic. But exhausted. I do miss home already. And I just remembered that I forgot to say goodbye to my kitty. :(

I'll be home in a couple weeks though. ahem, that is, I'll be at my parents' home in a couple weeks. hawt.

Starting to move into the house tomorrow. Well, technically I started Wednesday cuz I left my comforter and pillows at the house then. But tomorrow the mommy is helping me take some stuff up. Then Sunday's the big move in day. YAHOO. It will be interesting to see how I will manage in a room the size of a box.

I will miss my Mike and my Plaza kids. And Disney Friend and brother, too. and the cat and the mommy. But I am looking forward to moving into the house. The year is going to be absolutely insane. I can't wait. But I'll probably be coming home every other weekend to visit the boy. Or have him come up. After seeing each other pretty much every day this summer (we work together ANd hang out all the time), it's gonna be hella rough being away from him for weeks at a time. We'll see how it goes. It better work. He's too kickass for me to just let go of him.

Got sent home early from work the past two days due to crappy weather. I know most people like summer cuz of the gorgeous weather and are disappointed when it's cold and rainy. I, on the other hand, embrace it. Cuz that means we get no customers at the pool. which means I get to fuck around at work. Today I ran home really quick to pick up a couple movies to watch at Metropark. Zoolander was watched and enjoyed by all. huzzah.

Had a fabulous time with Shithead (aka Carl) last night. Went to the IMAX to see "Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban" for Carl had not seen it in English. Five minutes before the movie ended, the screen went blank, the lights went on, and sirens went off softly weeeoooooweeeooo as lights flashed on and off. We were to evacuate to the main lobby immediately. WTF, mate? Stood in the lobby for a couple minutes, then just left. Probably someone exited an "emergency exit only" door. Unless there was a raving lunatic on the loose or a fire. Got milkshakes and dropped Carl off. Went to Mike's, where things only got worse. He ended things, alright. But added in some crap to the equation which has succeeded in making me numb and confused. I don't even know what to think.

Work today was kickass. Had hardly any customers, Colleen and I kicked ass at Euchre, and slightly creepy slow guy gave me his hot pink NKOTB duffel bag. He'd been coming in the past few years, and I always commented on how awesome his bag was. A week or two ago he came in for the first time this year and I once again told him his bag was rockin. He informed me he was actually in the market for a new bag and that he'd give me the NKOTB bag when he bought a new one. Today, he came in to work just to drop it off to me. How fuckin cool. Be VERY jealous.

A-rock can't make it to watch Kill Bill 2 with me tonight, so perhaps I'll force Mike to watch it with me. Rock out. Watched the deleted scene last night, and it was fuckin' Schweet. okbye

Babe was found! He's ok! Thanks so much to those who consoled and were concerned. After Mom found him and called me I started crying cuz I was so relieved...and I am a pussy.

Today was my first day off where some time was spent at home in over a week. Get up at 730. Gyno appointment at 9am. Get gas, take car in to Bell Tire to get new tire. Take cans back to Meijer. Took kitty with me to visit people at work. Burger King run for coworkers. Kiss Mike. Wash mine and Dad's cars. Pick up Mom from Car Dealership (she's getting her car fixed). Eat dinner.

Sit on ass.
